Ingredients
- 1 cup of house crickets
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 shallots
- 8-9 chillies (or more if preferred)
- 1 tablespoon of coriander (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon of spring onion (chopped)
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of fish sauce
Method
- Grill or stir the house crickets.
- Grill the garlic, the shallots, and the chillies together. Add the salt and pound the mixture.
- Add the house crickets to the mixture and pound everything together. After that, add the fish sauce, the spring onion and the coriander.
- Transfer the house crickets and the rest of the mixture to a plate and the dish is ready to be served.
Noted
The Lao house crickets are served best with cooked sticky rice.
