On November 26, 2024, CDE scientists Albrecht Ehrensperger and Andy Souvanphakdy presented the Phakhaolao platform to a high-level delegation in Luang Prabang. Guests included the vice-governor of Luang Prabang Province, H.E. Ms Siliphone Souphanthong , the director general of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Ambassador Patricia Danzi, the Swiss Ambassador to Thailand, Pedro Zwahlen, and the Head of Cooperation of SDC in Laos, Jean-Gabriel Duss. The presentation highlighted the crucial importance of wild foods, including plants, fungi, and other natural resources, for livelihoods of communities in Laos.
