Kaeng Joh

Kaeng Joh is traditional dish of Phouthai ethic, in Savannakhet Province.

Kaeng Joh is a traditional recipe, related with culture and custom of Phouthai ethic which is cooked for festival or important ceremony such as New house, Pi Mai

Ingredients

  • meat and bone
  • uncook sticky rice
  • lemon grass
  • dry chilies
  • heart leaf
  • spring onion
  • salt

Method

  1. Heat the pot, add water, meat and bone. Boil and covered for 2 hours
  2. Then, Add uncooked sticky rice (Always stir while boiling)
  3. Finally, add heart leaf, spring onion and adjust (more spicy, more yummy)
