- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
- 1 ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- 1 large fish (1 kg)
- 1 tablespoon of boiled water
How to make the sauce

- Add the lemon and the fish sauce and pound it all again. Add a little water if the mixture stews.
- Taste and adjust the flavour if needed.
How to steam the fish
- Clean the fish. Cut through the skin, but do not cut into the flesh.
- Put some salt (1/2 teaspoon) and the lemongrass on top of the fish and put it on a plate.
- Place the plate inside a pan and steam the fish for about 15-20 minutes. You can also use a microwave instead.
- When the fish is steamed, remove it from the pan or microwave and garnish it with the sauce and the coriander.
