With the identification of climate change as a driver of biodiversity loss by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), immediate and concerted action is needed to address these challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Biodiversity and the natural environment possess various ecosystem functions and services that can help mitigate the risks caused by climate change.
