(Rubiaceae) from Laos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Argostemma<\/em>\u00a0Wall. is a large genus of herbaceous plants in the tribe Argostemmateae (Rubiaceae\u2013Rubioideae), mainly distributed in Southeast Asia and its taxonomy is far from completely known. Eight species of\u00a0<em>Argostemma<\/em>\u00a0were previously reported from Laos, but we here add six more species (<em>Argostemma lamxayanum<\/em>,\u00a0<em>A. lobbioides<\/em>,\u00a0<em>A. longisepalum<\/em>,\u00a0<em>A. paksongense<\/em>,\u00a0<em>A. svengsuksae<\/em>\u00a0and<em>\u00a0A. vientianense<\/em>) which are all new to science.<\/p>\n<p>The new species were found in limestone habitats in southern and central Laos. Detailed descriptions, illustrations, photographs and a key to all the known species in Laos are provided.
