{"id":5620,"date":"2019-10-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-14T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phakhaolao.la\/story\/tadpole-stew-aw-huak\/"},"modified":"2024-10-22T22:34:18","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T22:34:18","slug":"tadpole-stew-aw-huak","status":"publish","type":"story","link":"https:\/\/phakhaolao.la\/en\/story\/tadpole-stew-aw-huak\/","title":{"rendered":"Tadpole stew (Aw Huak)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 bowl of tadpole<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd bowl of small fish<\/li>\n<li>15 green or red chillies<\/li>\n<li>1 bowl of basil<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons of spring onion<\/li>\n<li>3 cloves of garlic<\/li>\n<li>2 shallots (thin sliced)<\/li>\n<li>1 bowl of dill<\/li>\n<li>2 stalks of lemongrass (bruise and cut)<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup of soaked sticky rice (pounded)<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons of fermented fish<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon of salt<\/li>\n<li>2 glasses of water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Put the garlic cloves and 5 of the chillies into a mortar and pound them.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Heat the water in a pan and\u00a0add the shallots, the lemongrass, and the pounded chillies. Cover the pan\u00a0for 5-10 and let the water cook.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Add the fermented fish, the salt, the tadpole, and the small fish into the pan.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Wait for 2-3 minutes before\u00a0adding the soaked sticky rice. Cover the pan for 10 minutes.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Add the basil, the dill, and the spring onion.
