Khaow Pat Nam aoy

Khaow pat is one of the outstanding traditional Lao dessert

Ingredients

  • Rice flour 1 pack
  • Sugarcane jaggery 8 g
  • Coconut milk (a coconut)
  • Salt 1 table spoon
  • Cane sugar 2 table spoon
  • Water

Method

  1. boil sugarcane jaggery, then strain before putting to the pot
  2. mix rice flour with coconut milk, salt and cane sugar, then put into the pot (stir for 30 minutes) 

  3. When the mixture has become thick, leave it cool before cutting into pieces

  4. serve as snack or dessert, available to keep it on the low temperature for 2 days
