Indian trumpet flower streamed in banana leaves (Mok Mak Lin Mai)

Mok Mak Lin Mai, local dish in Laos. It gives little bitter but full of fragrant with herbs

Ingredients 

  • Grilled Indian trumpet flower, 3 
  • Chopped pork, 1 small bowl
  • Soaked sticky rice, 1 bunch
  • lemon grass, 3 stalks
  • Kaffir Lime leaf, 3 leaves
  • Spring green onion 1 bunch 
  • Red onion, 5
  • Green chilies, 5
  • Banana leaves
  • Pa dek 2 table spoons
  • Fish sauce 2 tea spoons

Method

  1. Heat streamed pot 
  2. Pound lemon grass, red onion, soak sticky rice, and chilies
  3. Cut Kaffir Lime leaves 
  4. cut or slice Indian trumpet flower
  5. Mix Indian trumpet flower with pork, soaked sticky rice, Kaffir Lime leaves, spring green onion together. Then, taste and make assembling banana leaf packets, bring it to the stream pot
  6. Stream in the pot around 60 minutes
  7. Finally, leave it cool for serving
