Miang Kham

Miang is one of the traditional dishes in Laos which is famous and popular since forefather

There are many typed of Miang such as lemongrass Miang Kham. In addition, We can get health benefit from eating Miang Kham, and it’s considered as healthy food because of the ingredients which cooked by herbs such as lemongrass, peppers, garlic, Jackfruit leaves

Ingredients for Miang Kham (Lemongrass Miang Kham) 

  • Chopped lemongrass 1 cup
  • 2-3 peppers
  • 2 cloves
  • ½ teaspoon for salt

Method

  • Put all ingredients into mortar then pound
  • transfer to small bowl for serving 
     

Additional vegetgables

  • Jackfruit’s young leaves

  • Casava’s Young leaves

  • Long bean’s young leaves

  • Young banana (wash and slice as small and thin pieces)

  • Lime (wash and slice as small and thin pieces)

Sugestion:

  • More types of vagetable are used 
  • Cassava’s young leaves should be boiled before serving if you prefer
