Common Puddle Frog puree (Ohm khied cha na)

Yummy Ohm khied cha na with local herbs

Ingredients

  • 1 medium bowl for common puddle frog
  • ½ small bowl for field crab
  • ½ small bowl for small fish
  • water 1/2 l
  • 3 for Lao eggplants
  • 1 brunch for basil
  • 1 brunch for dill
  • 3 stalks for spring onion
  • 2 shallots
  • 5 red chilies
  • 1 tablespoon for fermented fish
  • 1 teaspoon for salt

Method

  1. Wash crab and common puddle frog, also vegetable
  2. Heat the water, add salt and fermented fish
  3. Slice shallot, spring onion, basil, chilies, and eggplant. Put into the pot
  4. Covered for 10-15 minutes
  5. Taste and adjust
  6. Transfer to the bowl for serving

Suggestion

  • Serve with cooked sticky rice, boiled local vegetables such as long bean, cucumber or any as you want.
