On 23 June, Pha Khao Lao participated in a consultation meeting on the integration of the Economic Timber Database of the National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI), Forestry and Rural Development. The meeting was honored by the participation of Dr. Simon Vongkhamho, Head of the Forestry Science Research Center, NAFRI.
As a result of this collaboration, the Pha Khao Lao Species Database would include a search function covering a comprehensive list of (economic) timber species, timber xxx species and non-timber forest products xxx species in Laos. This enhanced resource will support students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and other interested users in accessing reliable information and promoting the sustainable use and management of these valuable resources.
At the closing session, NAFRI presented Pha Khao Lao with the Handbook on Tree Seed Production and Propagation Techniques in the Lao PDR for study and practical application. Interested users can also download the document at: https://shorturl.at/t4faC
